Swapsity will be hosting a fabulously fun fashion swap party! This is your opportunity to update your jewellery box and accessory drawer. Search for all those swap-worthy items in your closet. Girls, dig out the sunglasses, rings, brooches, and bracelets that have outlived their use; guys, grab those spare hats, ties and wallets. Do you craft your own jewellery, coin purses or scarves? They can be traded for funky new fashion items, too. It's all about scoring stylish finds without breaking the bank and giving your pre-loved items a whole new lease on life. What more could a sartorial swapper ask for?

The Green Living Show is Canada's largest consumer show dedicated to all things green and healthy. Show-goers can shop from over 400 exhibitors, taste delicious local food, and gather information and inspiration from a diverse selection of demonstrations, presentations and activities. www.greenlivingshow.ca

SWAPPING GUIDELINES

1. We will be accepting early drop-off of fashion items on April 25th and 26th at the Swap Zone, inside the Green Living Show. Upon checking-in your items, we will issue you a Fashion Accessory Swap token, which you must bring on April 27th to redeem new items. You can also drop off your fashion items on April 27th.
2. Bring at least 1 item to swap. It can be a piece of jewellery or a fashion accessory. You may bring an unlimited number of swappables to this event.
3. We will not be accepting any clothing (e.g. dresses, shirts, pants) at this event.
4. The Swap Zone will include adult-size accessories for both the ladies and the gentlemen. We will not be accepting kids' jewellery items at this event.
5. We will be accepting all kinds of accessories including, but not limited to: necklaces, pendants, rings, brand new earrings, scarves, belts, gloves, shoes (women’s and men’s), pins, bags, handbags, hats, ladies fragrances and men’s cologne (unopened bottles), ladies watches, unopened makeup, fashion brooches, ladies wallets, bracelets, bangles, ties, tie pins, cufflinks, hand-made jewellery and other fashion accessories.
6. The maximum value of the item should be about $40. We do not encourage bringing high-end or one-of-a-kind items, precious stones or fashion accessories that exceed $40 unless you're willing to part with them and swap them for a lesser value item.
7. Items must be in good condition. Please do not bring any broken items; we will be checking all items that are dropped off to ensure they are in good condition. The litmus test: ask yourself if you would be happy with this item if someone else offered it to you. Remember, your items will be passed on to a fellow Torontonian.
8. We will not be accepting used earrings, used hair accessories, opened makeup, used perfume bottles, clothing or counterfeit branded products. If we feel the item is unsuitable, we reserve the right to reject it.
9. We will issue a swap token to each Swap Zone participant. You need the token to enter the Swap Zone.
10. You will receive 1 credit for each accessory item you contribute. For example, if you bring a pair of shoes, a necklace and a ring you will receive 3 credits.
11. You will be able to take the same number of items that you bring. If you choose to take back fewer items, that's fine too. Extras left over at the end of the day will be donated. Keep in mind that all swaps are final.
12. There will be no money exchanged, and no purchase of swap items. Just pure swapping.
13. Live Green Toronto Membership Card holders who participate in the swap will receive one bonus item while supplies last. For example, cardholders who drop off 5 items, will be able to pick up 6 items. You must present your membership card to get your bonus swap.
14. You can redeem your tokens anytime on April 27, during Green Living Show opening hours. If you have a token but don't find anything that you like when you arrive, you can come back to the Swap Zone later in the day to swap your token for new arrivals.
15. Only swap tokens issued on April 27th will be accepted during this event. Please do not bring tokens from previous events, including the earlier Book Movie Music Eco-Swap. They will not be valid.
16. Be considerate to other swappers and refrain from "camping out" in one location. Doing so obstructs traffic and creates a bottleneck in the Swap Zone.
17. Swap Zone admission costs $5 per participant with a token. Kids (under 12) who are accompanied by parents get in for free. We're only accepting cash payments at this event. Book Movie Music Swap Admission cannot be transferred to Fashion Accessory Swap. Each event has a separate admission fee.
18. Swap Zone participants enjoy free re-entry into the Green Living Show upon presenting a valid swap token issued on April 25 or April 26. Remember to keep your token. You will need to present it when you enter the Green Living Show the next day.
19. Unredeemed Book Movie Music Swap credits are not transferrable to the Fashion Accessory Swap. The two events are separate.
20. Above all, we are committed to maintaining the integrity and the values behind Swapsity and the Swap Zone. We reserve the right to ban any participant who neglects the Swapping Guidelines.
